Syllabus

Course overview and goals

Through the interdisciplinary research project of approximately 180 hours (around three months), students with their skills and knowledge acquired at major course will practice and test their abilities at a laboratory at Science Tokyo that is different from their own discipline. Students should submit an application in advance and implement the project under the guidance of the professor of your host laboratory. In the application, students should define his/her career plan and organize their project so that he/she can acquire the abilities necessary to realize their career plan in the project.

Course description and aims

Through this project, students understand state of own ability and what must learn further, which is reflected in course planning after the project. Based on insights into the fundamental issues within one's own field, students will develop the creativity to generate new value by repeatedly going through processes such as proposing, implementing, and verifying solutions from multiple perspectives. They will also acquire the ability to improve the probability of these solutions being implemented and brought to fruition in the real world, as well as the execution ability to achieve them with a sense of purpose.
