Course overview and goals
This course is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical tools in social research methods, with a particular emphasis on survey research. Although survey research is relatively easy to implement compared to other methods, designing appropriate survey items to test hypotheses requires basic methodological knowledge and skills. In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of survey research and how to effectively measure self-reported behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs.

1. Provide an overview of social research methods.
2. Describe the basic principles of survey research.
3. Present an example of social research and explain its significance.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
