Course overview and goals

All of the "English Presentation Seminar" courses are designed to provide students with the tools to deliver effective presentations with confidence. As these are practice-oriented courses, students will deliver multiple presentations throughout the term. Furthermore, students will sharpen their listening skills by learning how to ask good questions and become active listeners.

As a 100-level elective course, English Presentation Seminar 4 offers the basic skills for delivering well-structured group presentations.

If there are many applicants for the course, a limit on the number of students may be imposed. All prospective students must attend the first class.

Course description and aims

By the end of this course, students will be able to give group presentations followed by a question and answer session, applying the skills and knowledge discussed in this course.

This course is taught by an instructor with practical experience in translation, interpreting, and international trade. To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
