Course overview and goals

"TOEIC Seminar 4" is designed as an introductory course for students planning to take the TOEIC test. Of the four English-language skills, it puts special emphasis on listening and reading.

Offering TOEIC-style exercises, this course enables students to become familiar with the TOEIC test format. It also aims at improving students' overall English ability by expanding their knowledge of vocabulary and grammar.

Course description and aims

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
・ familiarize themselves with the TOEIC test format.
・ increase their vocabulary, refine their knowledge of various grammatical structures, and brush up their listening and reading skills.
・ comprehensively improve their English to achieve higher scores on the TOEIC test.

Class flow

Through repeated exercises in each unit, students will develop practical skills for TOEIC preparation.
At the beginning of each class, a mini test reviewing the previous unit will be given, so students are expected to review and prepare for every session.
The 7th class will be devoted to the final exam.

*If there are many students wishing to enroll, there may be a limit on the number of students. Students wishing to enroll must attend the first class.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
