Course overview and goals

This course introduces fundamental concepts and methods for achieving high-quality interaction design, including understanding user needs, human cognitive processes, user-centered design, and user research methods through practical case studies.
Students will also engage in a project-based activity involving stakeholder needs analysis, system design discussions, and proposal presentations.

Course description and aims

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
* Understand user needs analysis and user-centered design in interaction design
* Recognize diverse stakeholder needs within system development
* Understand system design processes based on user-centered design
* Acquire fundamental skills in user research methods, including questionnaires and interviews

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
