Course overview and goals

Based on the specialized knowledge and research skills acquired through the master's program, the student sets his/her own research topic, surveys previous studies, plans the research, carries it out, and analyzes and discusses the results through seminar discussions and exercises. The student summarizes the research results in a doctoral dissertation and develops them further through presentations and discussions.

Course description and aims

By the end of this course, the student will be able to:
1. use knowledge and skill as a professional of mathematical and computing science.
2. produce many original ideas on his/her subject and develop them as new research areas.
3. give conference presentations and attend scientific contests as an independent researcher, and have the ability to write papers and give presentations on his/her own research effectively.
