School orientation

Introduction of the Departments in the School of Materials and Chemical Technology

Class 2

School orientation

Introduction of the Departments in the School of Materials and Chemical Technology

Class 3

How to synthesize new molecular flasks

We will study the synthesis, structures, and functions of "molecular flasks" in our daily life as well as latest advanced chemistry.

Class 4

Molecular design develops the world

Understand how precise molecular design has enabled the development of our daily lives based on chemistry, a fundamental study for society.

Class 5

Electron microscopy

To learn how electron microscopes work based on the wave-particle duality of electrons, and how they are applied in materials science.

Class 6

Structure and properties of polymeric materials from the viewpoint of transport phenomenon

Understand the structural characteristics of organic polymeric materials through transport phenomena such as ions, charge carriers, and small molecules. In addition, this class introduces recent applications of polymeric materials for fuel cells, secondary batteries, and solar cells.

Class 7

Researcher ethic and safety for scientific studies

Understand the importance of researcher ethic and safety for the operation of scientific studies.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class. They should do so by referring to course materials.
