Course overview and goals

To summarize the lecture on points and issues needed to be learned and inspired in the lectures by our academic staff and prominent foreign and domestic researchers and engineers in various academic fields.
It aims at improving professionalism and vision by touching the world's most advanced science and technology information.

Course description and aims

1) Professional expertise for identifying the scientific and technological essence of electrical and electronic engineering.
2) Ability to conduct research with global awareness of the research and development trends.
3) Ability to solve the emerged issues and to propose creative ideas by use of the professional knowledge.

Class flow

Please prepare a report with free-format 20 or more pages on the summary, impressions, points to be learned of more than one lecture related to science and technology, which you attended. The seminar and symposium could be held by organizations other than Science Tokyo, such as the IEEE, IEE, IEEJ, IEICE and so on. On the details, please ask your supervisor prior to your registration to the seminar and symposium. Your report is needed to be uploaded through T2SCHOLA system by the end of the exam period of the registered quarter. The Special Lectures I and II are independent subjects, and it is possible to take both or one of them.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
