Syllabus
Course overview and goals
Through experience in the actual educational setting at partner schools (public schools, affiliated high schools, etc.), we aim to deepen understanding of teaching through various aspects of school work. In this way, we aim to develop people who are motivated to work in the field of education by enhancing their expertise in teaching and gaining practical experience. The aim is to understand the current situation in the field of education through learning in the teaching course (including teaching practice and teaching practice seminars) and practical training, and to acquire problem-solving skills aimed at achieving better education.
Course description and aims
The aim of this course is for those who already have a first class teaching license or who are expected to be able to obtain a specialized teaching license (see course requirements) to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation in education through educational practice research with the main focus on gaining experience in the various aspects of school work, and to acquire problem-solving skills aimed at achieving better education.

Class flow
The course will consist of pre-lesson guidance (first class), practical training at a school, and post-lesson guidance (final class).
Pre- and post-lesson guidance will be conducted at the university, but the schedule for practical training at a school will be adjusted according to the subject.
Practical training at a school will be conducted at a cooperating school of the university, such as a nearby elementary school, junior high school, or high school, and will involve at least 30 hours of practical training, focusing on inquiry-based activities, small-group instruction, and supplementary classes.

Prerequisites
As a general rule, you must have a first class teaching license or be expected to obtain a special license.
You must be able to converse in Japanese in order to carry out educational practice in school settings.
