Course overview and goals
This course aims to acquire academic Japanese competence. Especially, the students are requested to present the virtue of the book （book review) to the audience using fundamental communication skills.
Course description and aims
The following competence can be acquired after this class;1) the confidence of having read through the whole book written by the native speaker of Japanese2) selective competence of choosing importance from a large amount of the data for the audience.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.

Evaluation methods and criteria
After ensuring that attendance, examinations and assignments, discussions, and presentations are each sufficient, the overall score will be graded with a weighting of 20% for assignments, 65% for examinations, and 15% for presentations/discussions.
