Course overview and goals
There are various barriers that people who need support, such as people with disabilities and the elderly, face in their daily lives. In this lecture we will discuss, through lectures, field work and group work, what barriers currently exist in achieving an inclusive society and what kind of support is needed for those who need assistance. Students will be expected to actively participate as they will engage in lively discussions through group work.
The aim of this lecture is to develop the ability to identify the various barriers that exist, to understand what is needed to remove them, and to cultivate the ability to think about what kind of support is needed to achieve an inclusive society.
