Course overview and goals
Students will study performing arts, with a focus on impro (improvisational theater) and wind music, practically. Students will be divided into an impro team or/and a wind music team. The impro team will hold a series of workshops on impro and theater, and practice impro scene creation. The wind music team will play a series of wind pieces, read scores, study repertoire, research the cultural and historical background of the music, and practice conducting. Special lectures and workshops with guest are also planned. We will also have activities where both teams work together, such as a chorus. We will also perform in front of an audience at impro shows and wind music concerts.
The aim is to learn impro and wind music as live performance in depth, and to enhance the ability of expression and communication through performing arts expression with fellow students.

Other
Students who wish to join the wind music team must prepare their own instruments. However, if you have experience playing wind instrument and do not have an instrument now, we might be able to find one for you and lend it to you (special instruments are often difficult to find).
Students in the wind music teams should prepare a music stand.
