Course overview and goals

This course aims to improve the abilities and skills that will be required for students to conduct a research project and make a research presentation. Students will conduct their small research project in the selected research topics under supervision of faculties via laboratory experiment, numerical simulation, field trip, and previous research review activities.

Course description and aims

(1) Learn basic approach to research through a small project and coaching by your teacher.
(2) Acquire the habit of self-learning and planning practice via subjective prosecution.
(3) Acquire ability to convey your achievement to others through technical writing.
(4) Acquire ability to convey your achievement to others through oral presentation.

Class flow

Firstly, student will select a research group based on interest. Then, students will start their own small research projects via laboratory experiment, numerical simulation, field trip, and previous research review activities under the supervisions by faculties. In addition, students will prepare for their oral presentation and research abstract. Student will make presentation twice (in-group presentation and whole presentation)
