Course overview and goals
This Environmental Engineering course includes lectures on various aspects which form the basis for environmental engineering, including the water, air, thermal, sound, and light environments. Exercises and reports will accompany vital subjects within each aspect for students to gain a deeper understanding.
The aim of this course is for students to understand the physiology and psychology of humans relative to the environment; water, heat, air, light, sound as elements of the environment; urban environment and building environment; and the creation of environments and the role of facilities. These provide a basis for students to apply in building equipment.
Course description and aims
By the end of this course, students will have acquired the basics of architectural environmental engineering. The goal of this course is that students will understand the relationship between architectural design and planning and building environment and equipment engineering as they learn specific examples of city, architecture, and equipment.

In each class, the instructor will explain the basic as well as developed and applied information for a specialized field. Exercise problems will be assigned to foster certain understanding and application skills of the lecture subject.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
