Course overview and goals
After completing the Independent research project (MCS.Z388), the aim is to deepen research and broaden the scope of learning through one of the following approaches; a) further advancing the Independent research project, b) conducting new research in a laboratory different from the one where the Independent research project was carried out, or c) engaging in off-campus learning experiences that contribute to research, such as study abroad, internships, or fieldwork.
Course description and aims
The following abilities are set as the learning objectives:
1) The ability to apply specialized knowledge in the field of Mathematical and Computing Science to solve problems.
2) The ability to understand the social context of unresolved issues in the field of Mathematical and Computing Science, assess the potential impact of problem-solving on society, and work towards solutions.
The ability to develop logical explanations, engage in discussions, and compile findings into written documents.
