Syllabus

Course overview and goals

Conduct research on a specific topic. Deepen the understanding of issues related to the research topic through literature review and related investigations, clarify problems through research activities and discussions, and seek solutions. Throughout this research process, develop problem-solving skills by applying specialized knowledge and fundamental knowledge acquired from various subjects studied so far. Finally, compile the obtained results into a research report and present and discuss the findings.

Course description and aims

The following abilities are set as the learning objectives:
1) The ability to apply specialized knowledge in the field of Mathematical and Computing Science to solve problems.
2) The ability to understand the social context of unresolved issues in the field of Mathematical and Computing Science, assess the potential impact of problem-solving on society, and work towards solutions.
The ability to develop logical explanations, engage in discussions, and compile findings into written documents.
