Course overview and goals

Through study abroad programs at research institutes and universities overseas, students will engage in research related to the selection of chemical substances and material design, utilizing their knowledge of materials and information. This course aims to deepen students' understanding of specialized knowledge while developing their communication skills, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Students will enhance their ability to apply knowledge of materials and information to the selection of chemical substances and material design. Additionally, through discussions with researchers at overseas universities and research institutes, they will improve their communication skills, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Students will conduct studies and research at overseas universities or research institutes and submit a report based on their findings.

Class 1 1) Select an overseas university or research institute where the study and research will be conducted. 2) Conduct study and research related to materials and information for a minimum of one month at the selected institution. 3) Compile the research findings into a report and submit it. Students must prepare and submit a report summarizing their study and research achievements at the overseas university or research institute.

Prerequisites

Students must be enrolled in the Graduate Major in Materials and Information Sciences.
Students wishing to conduct study and research related to materials and information at an overseas university or research institute must submit an activity plan at least two months before departure. Based on the activity plan, the Graduate Major will review the eligibility for enrollment and provide feedback approximately one month before departure.
