Course overview and goals

Ph.D. candidates who belong to companies or other research institutions report their activities on topics of Life Engineering in the institutions they belong to.

Course description and aims

By linking and coordinating academic content in the Graduate Major of Human Centered Science and Biological Engineering with activities at their companies or other research institutions, students take part in practical activities from a new perspective, seeking further improvements. In addition, through the link with real enterprises, students will gain a more constructive understanding of the discipline of human centered science and biological engineering.

Course schedule Objectives
Class 1 Students will summarize the research and development activities of companies or other research institutions through discussions with academic advisors, as well as reports and academic research outputs. Students summarize their activities in companies or other research institutions as academic research.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend a certain length of time outside of class on preparation and review (including for assignments), as specified by the Institute of Science Tokyo Rules on Undergraduate Learning (東京科学大学学修規程) and the Institute of Science Tokyo Rules on Graduate Learning (東京科学大学大学院学修規程), for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
