Course overview and goals

For students interested in starting a venture business, the program will provide a practical curriculum aimed at the "commercialization of research themes" through writing a concrete business plan. We will invite the presidents of Tokyo Tech venture companies to talk about their business experiences, and we will also focus on fieldwork that is unique to the Ota City collaborative program. The program will provide opportunities for stimulating experiences, including visits to unique facilities in the city, such as cutting-edge incubation facilities and town factories that are normally inaccessible, as well as business presentations from the people in charge of each facility. In addition, lectures by guests (MIRAI Relations, C2D, Nippon Broadcasting System, Il Mondo Japan, Jonan Shinkin Bank, Tokyo Stock Exchange, etc.), visits to various facilities (Haneda Innovation City (HIC), factory apartments, etc.).
Mr. Azegami (entrepreneur, consulting and investment business, after working for a major think tank), Mr. Kawamura (producer for a major broadcasting company, responsible for management strategies for a securities company and the broadcasting company), Ms. Tomikawa (former representative of a major foreign securities company), Mr. Saito (entrepreneur after a major consulting company, developing industry-academia collaboration and a new business development platform business at a Tokyo Tech VC-affiliated company), and Mr. Iino (developed new business and branding support activities at a Tokyo Tech VC-affiliated company and served as IR/PR professional adviser to 30 companies, including pre-listed companies) will mentor students to write their business plans.
If the number of applicants exceeds 10, participants will be selected after interviewing them about their entrepreneurial themes. Bachelor's and master's course students with entrepreneurial themes may take the course upon consultation with the person in charge (credits are in the 600s, and credits will be granted per the study guide).
