Course overview and goals

Subtitle: Thinking about entrepreneurship with DNX Ventures; Understanding the current state of entrepreneurship as an option from the perspective of social needs and the motivations of those involved, and learning its essence in a practical way

Professional venture capitalists who invest in and incubate companies, and startup managers who provide new value will explain and provide information on each topic, such as the structure of companies (including large companies), the meaning and social needs of starting a new business, the challenges of corporate organizations regardless of whether they are large companies or startups, and the motivations, goals and problems of entrepreneurs themselves. In addition, they will discuss and share with participating students ech "entrepreneurship" that they have gained from their daily work.

DNX Ventures, a venture capital firm with a long track record of investment and startup development in Japan and the United States, has welcomed Mr. Kurabayashi, Head of Japan, and Mr. Shiraishi, Partner, as part-time lecturers for this program, and the structure and content of all 7 times of sessions have been created with the full cooperation of the company.

Although the focus is on startups, the lecture themes are based on the latest information on business in general, not just startups, and in the two sessions with startup managers, the motivations and goals of individual entrepreneurs are sometimes mentioned, which will directly broaden the perspective and options of participating students.

We would like all students to participate in the discussions, not only those who are interested in startups, but also those who aim to work in academia or research, aspiring to become bureaucrats, or for large companies, and we would like to make this a fundamental part of our university's "Entrepreneurship Courses."

Course description and aims
