Course overview and goals
In this course the instructor introduce theories of design and making things,examining the texts written by Tim Ingold "Making: Anthropology, archeology, art and architecture". Students are requested to read texts. During the courses students are required to discuss on the topic of the text.This course aims to understand design and visual culture through considering various topics.It also aims to understand the method of text reading.

At the end of this course students will: learn the theory for analyzing visual images and design.・understand various visual images and design, have a critical viewpoint about visual culture.・be able to explain and comment on visual images and design, referring theories and knowledge.

Students are requested to read the text referring the seminar. All participants will read the text before the class, and have a further discussion
