Course overview and goals

Student will practice and test out own skills and knowledge which are acquired at Academy for Leadership and major course through about three month off-campus project at a company, a university or an institution both domestic and overseas. Based on insights into the fundamental issues within one's own field, students will develop the creativity to generate new value by repeatedly going through processes such as proposing, implementing, and verifying solutions from multiple perspectives. They will also acquire the ability to improve the probability of these solutions being implemented and brought to fruition in the real world, as well as the execution ability to achieve them with a sense of purpose.

Course description and aims

Through the off-campus project, student understands state of own ability and what must learn further, which is reflected in course planning after the project.

Student plans a research and development project of a company, a university or an institution both domestic and overseas about three months by considering own career plan and picture of a leader with academic supervisor and participates in the research and development project.

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend a certain length of time outside of class on preparation and review (including for assignments), as specified by the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Undergraduate Learning (東京科学大学学修規程) and the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Graduate Learning (東京科学大学大学院学修規程), for each class.
