Course overview and goals
In this lecture, various sentences written in German are read. Students who have learned basic German grammar aim to establish their knowledge and improve their practical reading comprehension skill. The understanding to the culture of the German-speaking world will deepen through the material.

Class flow
Text materials (created by the instructor) will be send to students through T2schola each time the day before class. (The content of the text is German sentences and notes about grammar and vocabulary.) Students will listen to the commentary in class, translate German sentences into Japanese, and submit a Japanese translation by T2schola. The next material will show you an example of translation. In the class, the instructor will explain the points of reading and consider the substance of the text together.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Based on all submissions, the instructor will evaluate the accuracy of students' translations and reading comprehension. In each class students should translate German sentences into Japanese and submit them.
