授業の目的（ねらい）、概要

すべての「英語スピーキング演習」の科目は、その名のとおり、学生の話す力を伸ばすことを目標としている。発表以外の場においては、効果的に話すためには効果的に聞くことも必要となることから、これらの科目の授業や宿題においては、互いに話し合う練習やきちんと聞く練習を行う。

１００番台の選択科目である「英語スピーキング演習第一」は、特に、２人の話者の間で聞き話すことを通じて効果的な口頭によるコミュニケーションを行うことを目指す。また、教科書や授業で導入された単語や文法が使えるようにすることも、授業のねらいのひとつである。

到達目標

この授業科目を履修することにより、学生は、それまでに会ったことのない人との１対１の会話において、暮らしや経験の中のある特定の側面について話すために必要な新たな単語や句を身につけることができる。

授業の進め方

This is designed to be a very student centered/interactive class with students discussing and debating various topics. New vocabulary and grammar will be routinely introduced to enable students to articulate ideas more clearly and to facilitate discussion.

第1回	With the assistance of handouts, students will introduce themselves to their classmates. Appropriate English vocabulary and expressions will be taught. Everyday greetings will also be taught and reinforced through role-playing and fluency exercises. Pair and group work will be utilized.	Fluency/vocabulary/listening/Role-playing
第2回	Education: Appropriate “Education/school” vocabulary and expressions will be taught. Conversation questions (handouts) regarding “Education” will be incorporated into pair work. Students will have a chance to reinforce their new English through role-playing.	Fluency/vocabulary/listening/Role-playing
第3回	Food: Appropriate “Food” vocabulary and expressions will be taught. Conversation questions (handouts) regarding “Food” will be incorporated into pair work. Students will have a chance to reinforce their new English with role-playing.	Fluency/vocabulary/listening/Role-playing
第4回	Travel: Appropriate “travel” vocabulary and expressions will be taught and reinforced through role-playing and fluency exercises (using handouts).	Fluency/vocabulary/listening/Role-playing

準備学修(事前学修・復習)等についての指示

学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
