Course overview and goals
This course focuses on psychology of risk and uncertainty. This course makes use of the "active learning" teaching technique, and hence sets a "minimum passenger count" of three on the very first day of instruction. Registration deadline is at 0:00 am, on April 6th, 2022. The 2022 class meets online via Zoom (Live style).

The students shall cultivate mastery on standard cognitive theories pertaining to human understanding of uncertainty and probability judgment.

Class flow
Topics change in every class meeting. Basically the course goes in the mixture of conventional lecture-style and the Active Learning. Due to the necessity for Active Learning group formation, the students should adhere to the following requirements: One, register for the course by 0:00am on April 6th, 2022; Two, the class imposes a "minimal passenger count" of nine students.

| Class 4 | The availability heuristic | Understand the processes of probability judgment relying on memory traces |
| Class 5 | Anchoring and adjustment in judgments of uncertainty | Understand the processes of probability judgment relying on numerical anchoring |
| Class 6 | Judgments by hindsight | Understand the functioning of "hindsight bias." |
| Class 7 | Students present their understanding and the instructor evaluates each student | The lecturer and the students confirm the advance in their understanding |
Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
