授業の目的（ねらい）、概要
すべての「アカデミックライティング」の科目は、アカデミックライティングに習熟し、構成の整った研究論文を書くための手法を大学院生に身につけさせるために設けられている。講義のねらいには、雑誌論文の各セクションに適切な単語や表現の用い方を学ぶことが含まれている。授業では、書くプロセスの手助けとなるように、教科書や科学論文の見本を検証する。学生は教員から個別にフィードバックを受けることになる。さらに、学生は互いに書いたものを批評し合い、批評力のある読み手になるための技術を磨き、同僚に建設的な批判をすることを学ぶ。
大学院レベルの科目である「アカデミックライティング第十五」は、しっかりした、正しい知識に裏打ちされた雑誌論文を作成するのに必要な道具立てや分析的な知識を大学院生に提供する。
到達目標
この授業を履修することにより、学生は自分の研究について短い雑誌論文を書くことができるようになる。

学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
