授業の目的（ねらい）、概要

この授業は長期留学を目指す学生のための授業である。大学院レベルで長期留学に必要な英語力（大学学部生の一般教養科目レベルのコンテンツを英語できいて講義ノートを取り、ゼミで発表したり意見を述べたりすることができる）と専門的な内容を説明するのに支障のない程度の語彙力と英語技能の習得を目指す。

到達目標

TOEFLの設問を理解し、その概要を追うことができる。またそれの内容について、要点だけではなく概要を口頭で明晰に説明することができる。教室内の学生からの質問に明晰に答えられる。

An instructor with work experience as a performer will provide hands-on experience in the performing arts, based on practice in the field that fosters critical thinking and encourages creativity and self-expression.

授業の進め方

Attendance is taken at each class. The course is built around TOEFL-modeled listening and speaking activities (including Integrated skills activities that also involve reading) in a textbook and various TOEFL resource sites.
(Note: Syllabus is subject to change based on the levels, needs, and actual number of students in the class.) If there are many students wishing to enroll, there may be a limit on the number of students. Students wishing to enroll must attend the first class. Additionally, do not purchase any text or reference book until enrollment in the class has been confirmed during the first class.

第5回	1. Midterm Exam (Listening) 2. Speaking Strategies (3) 3. Writing Strategies (1)	Demonstrate knowledge of class materials. Acquire speaking and writing skills for the TOEFL.
第6回	Writing Strategies (2)	Acquire writing skills for the TOEFL.
第7回	1. Review of Material 2. Final Presentations (Speaking)	Consolidate, apply, and integrate key skills and core concepts. Demonstrate effective TOEFL speaking skills.

準備学修(事前学修・復習)等についての指示

学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
