授業の目的（ねらい）、概要
TOEFLのReadingとWritingの各セクションの試験形式・内容に留意しつつ、英語力を向上させる。
TOEFLのReading SectionおよびWriting Sectionの得点を向上させると共に、英語圏の大学で教育を受けるのに必要な英語力を身につけることを目指す。
到達目標
この授業科目は、次のような知識や能力を身につけることを目指す。
・readingおよびwriting セクションを中心にTOEFLテストがどのようなものかをもとに、好成績を残すための取り組みを実践できる。
・学問分野における英語の知識を広げると共に、英語の全般的なreadingとwritingに応用できる。

授業の進め方
１Qと２Qの到達目標：（語彙）語形成の基礎を固める、（読解）200語未満のリーディング問題を時間内に解けるようになる、（ライティング）Email型とDiscussion型を体得
授業前：課題に取り組み、グーグル・フォーム経由で提出します。
授業：課題についてのディスカッション、ライティングの練習、ピアレヴューなどを行います。
履修希望者が多い場合には人数制限を行うことが事があります。履修希望者は必ず初回授業に出席してください。また、初回の授業内でクラスへの受入が確認されるまでは、教科書は購入しないで下さい。

準備学修(事前学修・復習)等についての指示
学修効果を上げるため，教科書や配布資料等の該当箇所を参照し，「毎授業」授業内容に関する予習と復習（課題含む）をそれぞれ概ね100分を目安に行うこと。
