Course overview and goals
This course offers exercises related to the contents of Fundamentals of Electromagnetism 1 and 2. Students solve given problems and present their answers. This will allow them to understand electromagnetism and prepare them to solve more general problems in physics.
Course description and aims
By completing this course, students will be able to:
1) Find mathematical solutions to problems in electromagnetism expressed by equations and explain the physical meanings of said solutions.
2) Acquire methods and approaches to solve more general problems in physics.
Keywords
Coulomb's law, Gauss's flux theorem, the Biot-Savart law, Gauss's law for magnetism, Ampére's law, Faraday's law of induction, the Maxwell-Ampére equation, Maxwell's equations
Competencies
- Specialist skills
- Intercultural skills
- Communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Practical and/or problem-solving skills
Class flow
In this course, students solve given problems and submit a report. Problems will be given once every two weeks.
