Syllabus

Course overview and goals

This course (baddminton) facilitates students' ability of sports-related basic skills, in order to actively participate in sports and to understand a role of sports activity for development of wellness. In lack of basic skills, none can participate in and enjoy sports in safe.

Course description and aims

Students will be able to :
(1) acquire advanced skills and exhibit skills needed during a game/match.,
(2) regularly engage in exercise by him/herself, in order to maintain good condition,
(3) assess others' skills and give him/her appropriate advice as to exhibit leadership.

Class 1 lass 1 Selection of sports, and guidance Selection of sports Practice towel stretching at home   Submit a report on what you practiced and your impressions
Class 2 Class 2 Leaning basic movements of your sport Practicing basic strokes of badminton Walking and jogging outdoors.Submit a report on the differences between wearing and not wearing masks.
Class 3 Class 3 Learning advanced movements of your sport Practicing advanced movements of badminton Deepen your understanding of the equipment. For shuttles and rackets, the size and weight, and the names of each part will be illustrated and reported.
Class 4 Class 4 Understanding team strategies Searching strategies of your sport you will explain the main points about how to proceed with a singles game. Report the results.
Class 5 Class 5 Practicing games Finding and reading the rule book of your sport through the internet you will explain the main points about how to proceed with the doubles game. Report the results.
Class 6 Class 6 Understanding injuries and accidents in sports and learning first aid treatments and CPR Review and practice of CPR Explain the basic tactics of doubles games. Report the results.
Class 7 Class 7 Understanding rules and referee skill Be an umpire in doubles matches. A report on the origin and development of badminton in about 800 characters.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Students will be assessed by the commitment sore, the practice score, the understanding (comprehension) score, and the task (homework) score.

Badminton rackets are preparing in college. Please prepare your own clothing (including shoes) for badminton activities.
