Syllabus
Course overview and goals
Students need to understand roles and history of the National Course of Studies, methods of designning school curiculum and its management. In addition, students need to discuss how to design the better school curriculum through exercises.
Course description and aims
- Students need to understand legal aspects, roles, and history of the National Course of Studies.
- Students need to understand a method of curriculum design, instructional and assessment methods for each subject area based on the latest report of the Central Council of Education publishded in 2016.
- Students need to understand a method of curriculum management.

Class flow
Students are assigned homework for each lesson. Students are required to read related chapters of textbooks before each lesson. Therefore, the purpose of each class is focusing on explaining reasons, frameworks, terms, procedures, and examples of instructional design tasks related to homework assignments.

Evaluation methods and criteria
・Students will be assessed based on ratio of attendance, all homework exercises, and end-term examination.
・Students who have un-submitted homework or who do not attend lessons twice or more lose their credit.
