Course overview and goals
This course is designed for students who have no knowledge of Russian. It focuses on learning basic discourse in Russian. The aim of this course is mastering Russian letters and development of oral skills, so that students will be able to communicate effectively in various everyday situations, such as self introduction, greetings, and everyday routines. During this course,
students put into practice what they are learning in Russian: Basic.

At the end of this course, studentsa will be able to :1)give greetings, 2) introduce themselves, 3) question and answer, 4) communicate in various everyday situations.

Class flow
At the beginning of each class, students learn model dialogues by vidios, CDs, and motion pictures. Using these materials and handouts provided by the instructor, sutdents train conversateion in Russian.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
