Course overview and goals
This course is for students who have intermediate Level German language skills. Students will read various German texts and practically learn how to read advanced sentences. The main focus of the class is to develop the skill for reading German, and thinking in German. By understanding various texts, students will deepen their comprehensive knowledge of German-speaking culture and history.

Class flow
Students will read various texts and translate from German into Japanese, and practice in pronouncing and writing (The texts will be selected in consultation with the students, taking into consideration their areas of interest and German language skills.）. Through the texts and visual materials, they can also touch the culture in Germany.

When you read the German-Japanese dictionary, please keep an eye on all example sentences.
Evaluation methods and criteria
Based on all submissions, the instructor will evaluate the accuracy of students' translations and reading comprehension. Students should translate German sentences into Japanese and submit them.
