Course overview and goals
In this lecture, we will give an overview of topics related to science and society, such as the current status and issues of science and technology policy and the ethical, legal, and social implications (ELSI) of science and technology research.
Course description and aims
The objectives of this course are as follows.
1. To understand the significance and transition of science and technology policy.
2. To understand the current status and issues of research evaluation in Japan.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
