Course overview and goals

This course provides an internship opportunity to train practitioners who can utilise scientific and technological opportunities, build a proprietary theory to practice, and contribute to the development of the industry and society.
The students taking this course are expected to acquire skills and leadership on practical technology mamagement through exercise on this subject at a firm for one to three month(s).

Course description and aims

The students taking this class are expected to acquire:
1) Practice of analysis, thinking and communication,
2) Specific expertise on technology and innovation management,
3) Practical understanding of the economics and the society,
4) Awareness of student's career as an innovator, and
5) Practice on innovation based on experience.

Course schedule Objectives
Class 1 A host firm/institute will be decided according to a guidance by selected faculty members including the supervisor. After the internship period, a presentation will be made by the student on the contents and deliverables of the internship. Directed by the host firm/institute.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 50 minutes preparing for class and another 50 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
