Course overview and goals

This course introduces the outline of building services and the method of the building service plans.
The purpose of this course is to understand the calculation of thermal load for air conditioning unit and water load for plumbing sanitary system. Forthermore, students will be able to plan and draw air conditioning and plumbing sanitary system plans.

At the end of this course, students will be able to plan and draw air conditioning and plumbing sanitary system plans.

Class flow

In the first half of the course, lectures about air conditioning and plumbing sanitary system are given. In the latter half, students should design and draw buiding service systems.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
