Course overview and goals

To learn about the concept of landscape and understand the meaning and methods of landscape in civil engineering.

Course description and aims

Understand the concept of landscape generation and the role and methods of landscape development. Be able to use this and other knowledge to describe landscapes.

Class flow

Basic knowledge is provided by the teacher, which is then used to discuss various case studies.

Class 7 Landscape design of infrastructure (general review) Understand the basics of infrastructure design
Class 8 Landscape design of infrastructure (roads) Gain a basic knowledge of road design
Class 9 Landscape design of infrastructure (roads and bridges) Gain basic knowledge about road and bridge design

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
