Syllabus
Course overview and goals
This is an intensive course to visit many historic architectures and see their characteristics on site.
It is necessary for the students who are expected to be a successful architect in the world to learn how their own architectural culture had been developed in its history.
Course description and aims
The aim of this course is to deepen our understanding on the characteristics of traditional Japanese architecture through visiting many important cultural properties in Kinki district.

Class flow
This intensive course requires students to participate in two-day lectures and a six-day tour for the course credit.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Full attendance of 6 days tour and submission of the final report including some drawings are requested to the participants.
