Course overview and goals

For the second year students in the Ph.D program, the background of the dissertation research are to be drilled down on social needs to assure the significance and
purpose of the research in the Ph.D course. In addition, the fundamental skills necessary to carry out research activities as an independent researcher in the future
should be obtained through presentations and group discussions.

Course description and aims

The fundamental skills necessary to carry out research activities as an independent researcher, such as the applied skills and systematic understanding of the
acquired knowledge in professional education, the skills for discover and interpretation of essential problems, the proposing skills of the procedures to resolve the
problems, technology-related description, documentation and presentation of research, as well as leadership, will be obtained through presentations and group
discussions.

Class flow

The details and the present status of the doctoral dissertation study will be presented by all the second year students in the Ph.D program, and then the participating students in the same grade including academic advisors and supervisors will discuss together on the presentaion. Moreover, planning and experiences of the foregin/domestic internship and/or study abrord will be presented.
