Course overview and goals
Doctoral students make an oral or poster presentation on their research results at an international conferences in English or other foreign languages. This course aims to cultivate the international conference presentation and communication skills, and also to clarify student's research results and position in society/academia as well as its importance through the process for preparing the presentation for an international conference or workshop.

Class flow
Students should prepare an oral or poster presentation materials before the international conference. Students must have presentation checked by his/her academic supervisors and give presentation rehearsal in the lab before the conference. After giving the conference presentation, student summarizes the presentation activity and submits report to energy course directory.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend a certain length of time outside of class on preparation and review (including for assignments), as specified by the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Undergraduate Learning (東京工業大学学修規程) and the Tokyo Institute of Technology Rules on Graduate Learning (東京工業大学大学院学修規程), for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Specifics of the assessment criteria and methods, being in accordance with the student learning outcomes 1)-2), will be determined prior to the start of the course. The supervisor will evaluate it with the assessment criteria.
The supervisor submits the results to the course educational committee with the related documents (Confirmation of academic credits from academic advisor (recommended in designated course format) and accepted Abstract of conference presentation application are mandatory), and after the document inspection, the department representatives determine the final acceptance.
