Course overview and goals
For any successful researcher or business person presentation skill is not only essential but a prerequisite. The result of a presentation can differ greatly when the same topic is presented by two different presenters. Why certain presenters can grab the audience’s heart while others make people fall asleep? This course aims to help students inject a fresh flavor into template presentations that tend to follow the same pattern. Through weekly activities and on-the-stage practices, students will learn and apply elements in their presentations that will keep their audience engaged throughout.

Through this course:
Students will be able to recognize the elements of engaging presentations.
Students will be able to utilize language tools to enhance their messages and interactions with the audience in English presentations.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

Prerequisites
It is desirable that students taking the course have some communication skills in English, whether communication I has already been completed.
To be eligible for official registration students must attend at least two out of the first three lectures.
