Syllabus
Course overview and goals
The course focuses on the basic frameworks of business strategy and organization. Students can analyze real cases using these frameworks. And also, students can revise the frameworks using the findings from analysis. Interaction between theory and practice is important to co-evolution. In the strategy theory part, we will discuss domain, resource based view, and competitive strategies. In the organization theory part, we will discuss motivation, leadership, and organizational structure.
Through lectures and group work, the course enables students get knowledge about business strategy and organization.

At the end of this course, students will be able to explain the concept of business strategy and organization and acquire the ability to use several frameworks.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Students’ course scores are based on final report (80%) and exercise problems (40%).
