Course overview and goals

This course consists of a seminar presented by world’s top scientist of chemistry and related area, and reading of their academic papers. It is intended to grasp the current status and subject in advanced chemistry and related area.

By the end of this course, students will be able to grasp the current status and subject in chemistry and related area.

Class flow

To attend academic seminars in advanced chemistry in English. To read academic papers relating to the seminars.

Course schedule/Objectives

Course schedule Objectives
Class 1 Attend at least two academic seminars in English. Read at least one academic paper relating to the seminars in English. Prepare a report of the above seminars and papers. Preparations to understand the researches in academic seminars and papers.

Study advice (preparation and review)

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
