Course overview and goals

In this course students are sent overseas to present findings at international conferences, or do research at overseas universities or research labs.
By taking this course, students will develop an international perspective and sensibility through discussions and research activities overseas that are related to research content. We train researchers with international leadership skills.

Course description and aims

Be able to communicate research results, discussion research contents, and conduct practical research activities at international conferences, and overseas research institutes.
Leverage insights gained on site for later research and writing a thesis or dissertation.

Class flow

Concerning presentation content for overseas international conferences, or research planning at an overseas research institute, students will complete stipulated applications. The destination will be decided based on a review of the submitted applications. For participation in an international conference, students will present research findings in that setting, have discussions with other attendees, communicate research findings, and collect information. For research at an overseas research institute, students will conduct independent research at their institute. After returning, students will create a report on their research activities abroad.
