Course overview and goals
This course is for students who have taken TAL.S506 "Recognition of Social Issues Workshop A" to further improve their skills and capabilities. This course can be taken only by students who have completed the TAL.S506.
Course description and aims
By utilizing the methodology and experiences learned in Recognition of Social Issues Workshop B, students are being expected to practice proposing new solution ideas and suggestion about social design with higher possibility, and accumulate experiences about exploring consensus building with different background people than yours.

Class 1 | Details about schedule and contents will be presented in ToTAL web page/ToTAL OPEN Programs by the end of September while 2 kind of workshops below are being considered to be offered; (1) Effectuation Workshop: Students are going to find that the studenst already have enough capability in generating "innovation" with exsisting idea generation capability and network. (2) Future Foresight Workshop: Students are going to design future society of 10-15 years later by methodologies of scanning, back casting and abduction. (3) Design Thinking for beginners (4) Debate club | Presented on site |
Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

Evaluation methods and criteria
1. 40%: attendance to the workshop and pro-active attitude for idea generation and for contribution to consensus building.
2. 40%: the level of logical acceptance about the solution(s) (ideas) to be presented as the result of discussion
3. 20%: submitting reports
