Course overview and goals
This course aims to cultivate the basis of students' abilities to recognize the role that they should play in a team of different expertise, to present vision by themselves or to share the vision of others, to build consensus with the community of stakeholders, and to make the consensus into a concrete shape by using his/her own expertise and abilities of others. In addition, each student will present in class what they have done so far with their own leadership and how they would like to develop these in the future, and will receive feedback from students and faculty with different specialties.
Course description and aims
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
(1) learn communication tools that work effectively in the multidisciplinary teams; set personal learning goals to be an effective team member.
(2) develop relationship-building skills to connect with people from different disciplines; logical explanation, effective presentation.
(3) develop practical skills to realize one's idea and present the new value; planning, concept-building, execution.
(4) set the long-term goal achieved by taking leadership, with clear motivation.

This course consists of workshops aimed to learn personal goal setting, ideation process, logical thinking, prototyping, etc. Workshop themes are selected to help students' understanding of useful concepts and practical methods to develop leadership. The theme setting of each workshop/discussion depends on the students' intentions and the social situation at the time.
This course will be a blended format (primarily face-to-face, with a few live online classes). The live online session may be used in some cases (less than half of the total class), such as when lecturers are invited from abroad, but the face-to-face workshop classes will be the main focus. In the case of online lectures, instructors and TAs will visit each group work team to provide appropriate feedback. External tools such as chat and Slack will be used to ensure interactivity and check the learning progress.
Note that some workshops will be held on Saturdays and Sundays to allow for a coherent time frame, or when instructors are invited from outside.

(Example 4) Creativity Restoration Program by Art Through appreciation and creation of art, students expand the boundaries of thinking and emotions, develop the imagination to create new value, and build confidence to express themselves through the creation of art.
