Course overview and goals

Lecture title [Deep Active learning by badminton]
Using badminton as a teaching material, we face “self”, value “interaction with each other”, and aim to “maintain and improve mental health”.
The main keywords are PDCA cycle, co-creation of a learning environment and a place for growth, revitalization of communication, self-management, enhancement of games, etc.
We will develop classes on approaches to change and growth of individuals and groups, incorporating facilitation techniques and psychological knowledge.

1) Understanding and practicing the basic framework of badminton... learning manners, rules, skills, tactics/strategies, etc.
2) Understanding and practicing the PDCA cycle... Task setting - trial and error, originality and ingenuity - analysis/evaluation - improvement/growth
3) Co-creation of a learning environment and a place where you can grow... the foundation of a mutual relationship and feedback system
   Open-minded ~ Sharing experiences ~ Providing information and empathy ~ Positive feedback
4) Self-management, enhancement of the game... experience how to enjoy by improving skills and levels
   Self-analysis ~ Self-study (use of textbooks, etc.) ~ Mutual learning/repeated practice ~ Self-confrontation (game) ~ Reflection
5) Understanding the principles of reality and improving frustration tolerance... Understanding and practicing the background of performance

Course description and aims

Studetns will able to :
1) Acquire knowledge and practice necessary for physical and mental health, and care his/her health by themselves.
2) Acquire basic skills and exhibit them during game as to enjoy the sports event.
3) Have an understanding the usefullness of the sports event to use the sports event for life-long sports.

Class 1 Get used to doubles game Exchange Practice, Basics of Doubles 2: Development after Service, Side by Side. Understand basic knowledge and skills.
Class 2 Smooth pair work (1) Voluntary practice, doubles tactics-1: sign play, development to top and back.
Class 3 Smooth pair work (2) Independent Practice, Doubles Tactics-2: Shared Judgment of Situation, Cooperation as a Pair.
Class 4 Development of pair work (1) Pair practice, doubles tactics-3: change in responsibility, L-shaped follow-up, situation response.
Class 5 Development of pair work (2) Pair practice, doubles tactics-4: Formation according to pair, situation response.
Class 6 Fight with all your might! Preparation for skill test, pair practice, demonstration of total human power.
Class 7 Let's use our strength ! Bringing skill testing, peak performance, and learning environments into everyday life.
