Course overview and goals
During stay in Tsinghua University in the TokyoTech-Tsinghua University Joint Graduate Program, students attend academic seminars or symposia held in foreign languages in China for a total of 3 days, and write reports for each meeting from a scientific point if view.
This course aims to make students understand science and technology, as well as the education system of science and technology, in different countries, thereby accumulating an international academic career.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. understand the contents of academic seminars or symposia held in foreign languages, as well as the way of thinking toward science and technology in different countries, and explain them in English.

Study advice (preparation and review)
To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.

Evaluation methods and criteria
Whether the student describes the contents of academic seminars or symposia that he/she attended clearly in English, and whether he/she understands the way of thinking toward science and technology in different countries, are assessed by the academic supervisor. Students need to submit a report for each meeting.
