Course overview and goals

In order to become professionals with an international perspective and diverse viewpoints, it is essential to interact and discuss with people from diverse backgrounds. In this workshop, students interact with researchers from diverse backgrounds, present and discuss their own researches to one another, with the goal of developing international and diverse perspectives.

Course description and aims

Through this workshop, students are expected to develop the following skills: (1) to effectively present their own researches (2) to communicate and hold discussions with people from diverse backgrounds (3) to view research from diverse viewpoints.

Class flow

Students hold presentations on their researches in turns at workshops, and participants discuss about them.

Class 1 - Scheduling workshop - Assignment of presentations - Presentations of research - Discussion sessions on presentations. Present students' own researches, and discuss about the presentations of others

To enhance effective learning, students are encouraged to spend approximately 100 minutes preparing for class and another 100 minutes reviewing class content afterwards (including assignments) for each class.
They should do so by referring to textbooks and other course material.
