Course overview and goals
This lecture describes robot, AI, and sensing technology for human-robot and human-machine interaction such as the design of interactive systems, verbal and non-verbal interaction, perceptual interaction, human sensing technology, scene understanding technology by researchers in Honda Research Institutes, accompanied with an introduction to cutting-edge research being proceeded in Honda Research Institutes.

In order to improve the learning effect, students are expected to acquire background knowledge from HRI's website and articles, and to review the contents of each class by referring to the handouts, etc., for about 100 minutes each.
